In 1972 Charlie and Lorna Wagner alongside their son Chuck launched what the Wine Advocate's Robert Parker described as, "clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries". Today, Chuck is the owner and winemaker at Caymus, and continues his family's incredible legacy. Such is Chuck's passion that not only was he elected to the Wine Spectator Hall of Fame, but he also received their “Distinguished Service Award” for achievements in winemaking and dedication to the Napa Valley and its wines.

Take 5 minutes to sit back and enjoy this gorgeous video from the Wagner family highlighting the dedication to the Caymus legacy.

"Caymus has one of the most enviable track records of any California winery. Having followed their Cabernet Sauvignons since the early seventies, I find it remarkable that this winery has never gone through a slump. Not many wineries, anywhere in the world, can match the Wagner family's consistent record of success." -Robert Parker

Much of Caymus`s fame is based on its Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. This limited bottling was first produced in 1975 and is made entirely from fruit grown on a 14-acre plot on the famed Rutherford Bench. Aged for up to four years in barriques and then bottled without fining or filtration, it is a deeply rich, full-bodied Cabernet with tonnes of aging potential.

We have a number of back vintages of the Special Selection on offer (including a show-stopping 1987 imperial), as well as the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary edition and a bottle of the 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon with decades of maturity under its belt.

Scoring up to 98 points (WA) these iconic wines should take pride of place in any Cali collector's cellar.
